Beyond Tech 3/4 : Mimi II

Fabric - I loved the original cotton 3/4 sleeve shirts and own several, so I was excited for the bird pattern. This one uses a *new* thin, silky synthetic fabric with melted seams that keep it from riding up under a backpack or bunching at the sleeves. Comfortable for activity, but less suited for casual wear since it’s not as soft as cotton.

Fit - I usually wear a small (sometimes medium for ribs/shoulders) and ordered a small based on feedback to size normally for roomier fit or to accommodate pads. The S fit loose, but not comfortably—low/big armholes made the shoulders awkward in riding position. If you plan to wear shoulder pads, stick with your normal size. Otherwise, I don't think that it's worth sizing down for elbow pads. I returned mine for an XS since the larger fit felt uncomfortable.

I really like the concept of this shirt, but I wish I had bought it one size smaller. The notes did say that if you wanted a more "snug" fit, size down. I should have listened. Because I did not pay attention to that, I now have a shirt that is bigger (wider!) than I would have liked, and I have also learned that Shredly's return policies are not very generous. It will cost me $28 plus the return shipping to exchange this shirt, which I really cannot justify. I feel annoyed by the return policy but delighted by the shirt and only wish I had it in the next smaller size.
