Details
We took our best-selling, most versatile short style and made it into pants! Mountain biking doesn’t stop when the cool temps or weather rolls in and now you don’t have to either. We made these for days when you need a little bit more coverage but still want the same great performance. But, per our usual approach, these pants were designed to wear beyond mountain biking and were engineered for life outside or on the go.
Features
- Made with ecoMove: lightweight yet durable, 4-way stretch, quick-dry fabric made from recycled polyester/spandex
- Jogger-style pant made for mountain biking and an active lifestyle with a relaxed yet flattering “comfort” fit
- Yoga-style stretch waistband + drawcord eliminates “back-gap”
- An articulated back panel creates technical shaping through hips and thighs
- Articulation in the knees to accommodate pedaling and low-profile knee pads
- Gusseted inseam for ease of movement and extra comfort
- Two hand pockets with deep, mesh pocket bags
- Zippered pockets at the hip and side leg for secure and easy access to essentials (yes, they fit your phone)
- 28-inch inseam on size 6
Crystalynn T.
It fits perfect! Love the pockets, the waist band, the cut and it’s great for cooler weather. It’s also just roomy enough for a pair of light long johns underneath for the much cooler morning rides. If there was one thing I would change is that the upper thighs would be more rain resistant for those wet rides but they do dry quite quickly so it hasn’t been a problem for sprinkles and mud puddles!
Katie R.
Super comfortable pants. Using as hiking pants for my upcoming #ebc trek. All of my practice hikes in them have been exactly what I hoped for. Excited to get out on the trek soon in these great pants.
Jaime C.
These pants are so comfortable! I usually wear a 2-4 and regular clothes and I went with the small and they fit just how I wanted them too. They also fit with small knee pads and the pockets are awesome!
I would really love to see shredly come out with a DH version of these pants and solid in colours, I’m not a fan of the pattens.
Rebecca C.
I really wanted to love these pants, because I love the curvy/limitless mtb shorts, but they were way too short on me. I'm 5'11" and most of my height is in my legs so I understand most pants won't be long enough, but the elastic at the bottom was quite tight and uncomfortable since it was hitting a higher/thicker part of my calves. Highly recommend these pants for riders with shorter legs.
Mike P.
She loved them just one size to big I sent back today get another pair asap the quality was top tier
Leah C.
I liked the pant, but they were too tight thru the thighs when bending the knees. Also, I'm 6'2' so they are way too short for me. I was hoping they'd work. I had to return them. :(
Kat C.
I just received these pants and I already love them. The fit is perfect. I ordered size 16. I’m 5ft 2in and 185 lbs. The pant length is great. My inseam in 29in.
Stacey S.
Fit is perfect, I’m 5’ and 118lbs. Great flexibility when biking and nice enough looking I can wear them as my work pants and no need to change after biking to work!
Kristen T.
LOVE these pants. I wear them biking, hiking, playing with my kids, and plan to use them cross-country skiing. So versatile. So comfortable. So practical.
Floortje G.
Very comfy and warm enough for winter. Good stretch material. Sizing run small buy 1 size up .
Sarah G.
Best bike pants I’ve ever had!
Diane H.
I needed a pair of cycling pants for a trip to southern Utah. The weather was rainy and colder than normal. These were perfect. I love the fit and the material. These would also work for hiking or walking too. They were very comfortable while biking. I ordered same size as the curvy shorts I have and fit was perfect. I love these!
Kerri P.
Best Pants Ever! Love the fit and the stretch in the fabric. I’ve been hiking and biking in them and they are the prefect weight for any activity. ❤️❤️❤️
Susan R.
I purchased your shorts for my daughter last year and she liked them - she asked for a pair of pants for hire birthday this month. She will be getting them in 18 days.
Briana V.
Very impressed! These pants are buttery soft, super stretchy and flexible, and the right amount of pockets in the right places. Only thing I'd add is a hook for hanging (at inside of waistband). Otherwise, they are the perfect cycling pant that is cute and comfy enough to wear just about anywhere. I love them and they are my go-to!
Christy L.
Best pants ever! So comfortable, warm, breathable, and fun to shred in. My favorite purchase so far!
Chris L.
These pants are awesome. I used them for fat biking. Layered base layers and Nike shorts under them. They kept me warm and dry. Supper comfortable. Highly recommend getting these pants!
Eileen K.
Purchased these pants for springtime riding, but they are also perfect for cross country skiing!
Amy V.
Fantastic pants. Good pockets, just loose enough to be comfy but not sloppy. The curvy fit waist band is so comfortable and is high enough you dont have to worry about showing your booty crack! Im 5’7 and 165ish with a booty and legs, the 12 fit great, fitted but not skin tight.
Sharie H.
I was so excited to get these (they're my first pair of riding pants), but I was pretty disappointed. The fit is pretty good. Mine were too large, but not in a horrible way. One thing I really didn't like though, is the waist tie. I thought there would be some sort of clamp, or cinch, or something. But it's just an elastic circle. To tighten the pants, I had to pull the loop far forward and tie it in a knot. This made it an issue getting them off, because of the knot. If they had some sort of clasp, it wouldn't be as bad. I may just have to cut the elastic and tie it in a bow.
Jessie W.
These pants are AMAZING! I wear them obviously biking but also wore them snowshoeing over tights and they were a dream. They have so many pockets and they are ridiculously comfortable. I want to wear them every day, all day, everywhere.
Kristina
I am not completely sure what I was expecting, but I am obsessed with these pants!! They feel so smooth when I am running, hiking, skate skiing, or just around the house. They kept me warm and cozy on a 5 degree trail run, but also weren't too hot to skate ski in on a 35 degree day. I can't wait to try them mountain biking. Seriously, get these pants.
Bevin m.
Love these pants they fit perfect. I would have actually gotten a size up to layer a little more under, but they are perfect for not to cold winter days and cool conditions. My new favorite riding gear.
Sherri C.
These pants are great for everything outdoor! They stay in place without rolling, they are warm yet breathable! Definitely an outdoor gal’s must have!!
Becki W.
I am so in love with these pants! As recommended I ordered 1 size up from what I wear in the curvy shorts. I can easily fit a baselayer and chamois underneath for winter riding. Also-super durable, I ride flats with pins and they have ripped all my other pants, but so far these stand up to any run ins with them.
Denise S.
Love these! I wear a 6 in Shredly shorts, an 8 in the cascade pants are a perfect fit.
Tessa D.
Love, love, love these pants. Fit is great and they are super comfortable
Carol K.
These pants are fantastic for mountain biking. I would love to see the length available in "tall"
Carey D.
I'm 5 4 and about 135#. The 6 was perfect. They are warm enough on cold days. I love the waistband.
Rita B.
Got as a gift for family member. She loves them!!
Asha A.
Living in SW Colorado, these are perfect to extend the season! Fit is great, although I wear a 6 in the shorts and got an 8 in these so I could layer more if needed. They are also better looking than I thought they’d be. Could wear around and for other sports-climbing &hiking.
Cianna W.
These pants seem comfortable, but I unfortunately had to return. These were so amazingly tight on my thighs and butt, despite ordering my normal size in pants and same size as a pair of Shredly shorts I wear. Feeling tight enough to burst, there was certainly no room for a chamois and/or another warm layer, and I think I'd have to go *several* sizes up to make this work. I am 5'6" with a short inseam, with power thighs and butt, and I ordered a size 6. All slightly larger sizes in the colors I am interested in are sold out, and I also worry adding more room in the thighs will make these too long or make the waist too large. The waistband and material are both very comfortable. As a biking pant, these would benefit from a zipper at the ankles to allow for adjusting knee pads without having to drop the pants.
Leann A.
They are a tad short, but other than that, these are comfortable on and off the trail.
Suzanne K.
I really love these pants! True to size, great fit with nice pockets. I appreciated the basic black option for a pant.
Julie C.
The 8 is a close fit for me (5'6" and about 140 pounds). Love the pockets - my only issue is that one of the hand pockets has incomplete stitching so things would fall out. I will fix it when I get a chance but the stitching could be better.
Debbie D.
Love these pants. The only issue is they are a little short. Otherwise perfect!
Leslie G.
Just do it. Buy one to wear and one to wash, because you’ll never want to stop wearing these comfortable, flattering, functional pants. And, they pass the “dog hair did not stick” test. Slightly long for 5’4”, but I prefer a longer cycling pant. More please.
Amy J.
Love these pants! I was worried that they wouldn't fit because my Shredly shorts are "curvy" but they fit perfectly and are super comfy.
Amy S.
I love the feel of shredly products. It is the only material I want to bike in. That being said, I had to order 2 sizes because there was nowhere for me to try on this item. I kept the best size of the two I ordered but I was disappointed that I had to pay return shipping when I kept one of the items. I think companies should pay for return shipping in this situation. If your margins run that tight, then charge more per item. It makes it harder to justify paying full price for item when you don't have any way to know the correct best size and you have to sometimes pay shipping both ways. I probably would only order an item from the direct website if I knew my correct size. I know that other sites sell the shorts and they cover shipping but this item was only sold on the direct website.
Johanna T.
I love these pants. They fit well and are a good length. I am 5"3 and 145lbs. Hour glass figure. Usually wear a 6-8/M in pants. I purchased both the 6 and the 8. Found that both sizes fit about the same except the 8 was very slightly longer/looser in the ankle so I went with the 6. They are tight but stretchy enough that they are still comfortable. I do wear padded shorts underneath when I ride. The short lines show through a bit on my legs but not enough that I think it is unflattering. I wish they were ever so slightly looser in my thighs but overall think these are a great pant for biking/hiking/outdoor endeavors. I feel good in them and would highly recommend.
Cari C.
LOVE this pant!
It’s everything I live in the short, but in a pant! Perfect for those cooler days!
I did size up from the size I wear in the shirt for a more comfortable feel.
Mari-Megan M.
These are SO comfy and versatile. I've been wearing them around the house and for other sports. The fit is great. The only negative is if you want to wear knee pads, a little tricky to put them on without flashing the entire parking lot.
Andie L.
These pants are awesome. Great fit, look nicer than bike tights, and super warm in the colder East Coast temps approaching.
Julia H.
Typically, if I go to a walmart, or target, or old navy, a size 22 pair of jeans fits me. Sometimes I need a 24, occasionally I fit a 20. I'm in the 2x-3x range in the US. I'm 5'7" and 290lbs. I have a hell of a time finding mountain bike clothes that fit me, both tops and bottoms, but then again I am usually the biggest person (male or female) on the trails. I bought a 24 and was thrilled that they were a little too loose. I could have worn them, but I returned them and bought a size 22 which fit great. They have stretch in the waist and thighs but the crotch doesn't sag (and doesn't camel toe either). They look really good. In fact, I recently wore them when traveling because Europe is snooty about leggings and could not be happier with how they wear. If you are on the fence, buy them. They are worth it.
Eva R.
These pants are wonderful. I love the yoga/wide waistband, the stretchy but durable fabric, and the weight of the fabric. I'm 5'8" and 145lbs with not-skinny mtb thighs and they fit me really well. I bought a 6 so that they wouldn't be baggy and snag on my saddle when I'm standing up and that was a good call. They stretch and move so comfortably and, even when it warmed up this weekend, I was totally fine with being in pants.
Michael H.
Great fit and stylish!
April L.
Loved the bike shorts from summer and couldn’t imagine getting through a season without them, so I bought the pants. They are comfy for walks, hikes, bike rides, and fall float trips.
Carrie R.
I really like these pants, they're also great for hiking. I am 5'9", 148lb thicker on my lower body than my upper body. The 4 fits snug, a 6 would definitely be more relaxed fit, I usually wear a 26 or 27 in jeans if that helps. When I got them though, there was a hole in the pocket, which is fixable and not a big deal, but for the price of these pants I would think they would do a better job at quality control. Still, I would definitely buy another pair.
Ashley
These are the best mountain bike pants! They exceeded my expectations. I am 5'4" ~120 lbs, and wear a 2 in the mountain bike short. I sized up to a 4 in the pants and they fit amazingly! I love the yoga waist band. They are fitted enough without being too tight, yet have tons of stretch for biking. They are also the perfect thickness to keep you warm and protected while preventing you from overheating. These can also easily be worn out, hiking, or even to work. Thank you, Shredly!!
Julie R.
Love. Needed to replace a good bike pant where a metal snap button no longer snapped (). These are awesome. Per usual with shredly
SHARON D.
Love these longs - finally something for us curvy ladies!
Quality is great - they repelled water and mud, the ankle area didn’t catch on anything, nice coverage and adjustability with the yoga top (no builders cracks!!), and good sizing for calf and knee pads. I also wear undershorts and enough room for those too. I’ll note that I’m on the tall side and the length was still good for me, you’ll see a little bit of sock when my knee is bent and wearing knee pads under.
They washed really well, quick to dry and no colour loss. I already own a heap of short styles for several years which still look at good as new! There aren’t as many pockets as the shorts but I find I don’t need them on the longs.
I bought two sizes - the black for biking in cold weather and/or with downhill pads, and the next size down for hiking. Sizing on both is true to expectations. So happy to finally have these in my kit.
Jessica B.
Such a great pair of trail pants!! I’m on the long legged side so the length didn’t really work for me. They are long capris. Really cute pants though!
Kelly H.
LOVE these! Great for everything - on the trail, plane, in the city, and just lounging.
Anne C.
I'm in love with those pants! It's stretchy, comfy and sturdy. In my size, it's hard to find pants that fit right, but those are wonderful. I will buy more for sure. Amazing customer service!
Happy ridding!
Emily W.
Great pants! I had to size down (relative to my other two pairs of riding pants from two other brands) to make the waist fit and not have the pats be super baggy around my legs. They still fit great over my knee pads and my chamois. Have also worn them for gravel riding and they are so comfortable. The ankles are very snug, but it keeps the pants tight around my socks. I am 5’2” and the length is perfect.
Zdenka W.
Absolutely love these guys! The main reason I bought them is a planed trip to Europe where I know I'll ride bikes and I wanted versatile, good looking pants I can comfortably travel in and ride my bike too. These pants became very quickly my favorite and I wear them almost every day - on and off the bike. They fit nicely, are extremely comfortable, they hold their shape well and let me tell you about the pockets... THE POCKETS are the very best! You guys figured out the perfect pocket combo for most of my activities. Phone in the side zip up pocket, DL and a credit card in the front small zip up pocket, no worries I'd lose anything and I still have pockets for my hands!!! One of my very favorite pieces of clothing I own these days and I already know I'll be getting me another pair. I'm 5'8", about 145 pounds, wear size 6. 10/10 recommend!
Kimberly M.
The perfect pair of pants—functional, comfortable, and durable. Great for biking, hiking, skiing, climbing and everyday wear—and those are just the activities I’ve tried out. 5’8” 170lbs and usually wear a 10-12, the 10’s fit great!
Nancy J.
I already have a pair of these pants. So why did I purchase another pair? Because I love them so much that I have to have a pair to wear if one is in the laundry. These pants are so cute and flattering that I even wore them to work one day.
Rosie B.
I’m a 6 in the shorts but the 8 in these pants fit perfect. Definitely cute and comfy to wear around after riding. Waist band is so comfortable when riding.
kristina c.
Excellent ! I ordered one size up & very nice. Relaxing yet crisp:)
Anna T.
Love them! Spend 5 days hiking/biking and they never failed. Would definitely recommend!
SUSAN C.
The elastic around the ankle is very tight. Way too tight. I will probably figure out a way to cut it loose.
Julie C.
I love these pants so much I wear them when I'm not riding!
Rachel K.
I absolutely love these pants! They are so comfortable both on and off the bike. They fit perfectly and move with ease. I love them for riding when it’s cool and for hiking as well. These are my new favorite pants! I like them so much I bought a second pair!
Miranda K.
So comfortable! Had to go a size smaller then I thought I was. They don't run big per say...just...maybe mis judged my hips to waist ratio.
I may try these out to boulder in they are very flexible too!
Kindra L.
These riding pants are amazing! Super comfortable and stay put when riding even when in and out of the saddle. They are just the right weight, not too warm, but certainly enough to keep the chilly morning air from freezing your legs on the winter/spring rides. Definitely had to do a size bigger than what I usually wear. They are a little more form fitting than I had anticipated, so the bigger size was a must. Love the comfy waistband, allowing for more mobility and comfort when riding. Love them!
Consuelo M.
Great fit! Perfect for riding in Bentonville and then heading into a coffee shop or tavern.
Catherine C.
I absolutely love the Cascade pant! I have the Noir and the Mara (purple). They fit like a dream! The material is stretchy and allows full mobility. They have been super versatile this fall, winter and spring. I do a lot of wet, muddy and rugged terrain, and the pants have not failed me. Love the zip pockets for keys and phone. I get loads of compliments on these pants. They are the bomb!
Lisa C.
The elastic cuff is tighter than I expected and they are shorter than anticipated.
DANIELLE R.
Does have something of a drawstring built into the waist, but no way to secure the drawstring (I used a safety pin). Otherwise, the size 18 pants provide enough room for myself and my MTB impact shorts (have tried on but not ridden yet). Have used for cross country skiing. Easy to move in. Has pockets in helpful places. Breathable. Comfortable enough to wear indoors all day and outside. I personally find I want a thermal layer underneath for temps below 20 degrees (F), especially if there's a strong wind.
Christina K.
I love them so much I wore them to work with a nice top and it was awesome! So comfy. Roomy perfect pockets! Great fit! Elastic at ankle might be a little snug - I have tiny ankles too. These are some sweet pants!
Daphna Y.
Not the same fabric as the previous pair I bought, not as smooth and nice but still fine.
The pocket on the right (front)- the seam left a big hole can’t put change in the pocket and fingers stick out of the hole if I put my hand in the pocket
Linda C.
The fit and feel are super comfortable. The fabric is durable and the design is functional (pockets, stretchy).
Rachael M.
The first pair I ordered had some issues with construction of the pants. However the customer service has been over the top exceptional and I now have a pair of pants that fit well, feel good, and ride amazing.
Jessica F.
Wonderful. Love them ❤️
Karen C.
true to size. perfect riding pants for those chilly days - absolutely love them!
Dana O.
This company has great customer service!! Love the cloths!!! I will definitely shop with them again and again!!
Russell D.
Finally, some pants that aren’t super long just because I wear a larger waist size. These fit like a dream, are comfortable with my knee pads underneath, and even look cute with a T-shirt for running errands. Thank you, Shredly, for staying focused on making quality (and cute) MTB clothing for average (and awesome) women.
Sheila G.
I asked my husband to get me these pants for Christmas and couldn't be happier with them!
I've been mountain biking for 30 years mostly in Alaska and Yukon so was looking for a mountain bike pant that could hold up to mountain terrain, rocks, branches and rain without restricting movement. I wear Shredly exclusively and am thrilled now to have a colder weather version to extend my season!
Gina
Had these pants out for their first ride last night and absolutely loved them. My favourite thing is the waist band, so comfortable and no digging in! Customer service was fantastic, I emailed back and forth with Stephanie to help me pick the right size. I’ll be getting more Shredly gear in the future!
Erik R.
My wife loves these pants. Durable, great fit and good price. Thx for making awesome gear for the ladies Shredly team.
Emily H.
I bought these because I wanted to have a multipurpose pant for not only biking but cross-country skiing and hiking too. They are the perfect fit with a base layer underneath and not too baggy to fit under gaiters. I found myself wearing them instead of rain pants on my very rainy PNW dog walks. They shed water great and are not too hot. Exactly what I’ve been looking all over for! I’ll be trying the shorts come summer. Thanks for making inclusive technical clothing that looks great on bigger bodies! I’ve already had several compliments!
Tina C.
The length is perfect!
Theresa H.
So comfortable even when riding on the Oregon coast in 40 degrees. Great for Coastal showers or hail storms - I stayed dry and was able to finish my ride! Thanks for making such great products!
Denise S.
I love these pants! They fit better and are way more comfortable than yoga pants. I did size up one size from the Shredly shorts and they fit perfectly.
Emily H.
I wear these pants even when not riding because they look fantastic! Took two tries to get the right fit (normally wear a 12 in the curvy shorts; needed a 14 in the pants; 5’6”; 30” waist, 43” hips). They stretch and breath well; they aren’t the WARMEST - wear another layer in the dead of winter, but they are plenty warm unless it’s below 30F. The look and performance of these pants together is just unmatched. Shredly knocked it out of the park on these!!!
Robert B.
Please make these pants with zippers instead of the yoga waistband
Erika N.
Absolutely my favorite pants! Super comfortable, true to size.
Stacia L.
I ordered a size up based on the reviews so far. Normally wear a 0, ordered a 2. With chamois I could see the outline of the padding- not flattering. I love Shredly but these seem very expensive for what they are. The leg opening is uncomfortably tight and I have small ankles. For me these were deal breakers. They were returned.
Ashley W.
I could upload a photo because I am too busy riding to do that! Best MTB cycling pants, EVER. Just hit “BUY” and you will not regret it! Comfort, quality & cuteness? 110%! I get stopped on the trails and asked, “Are those SHREDLY”??? Taking one for the Brand and pausing on my ride to say, “*** yeah! I can’t ride comfortably in anything else!”. 5’4”, 135 pounds. Size 10 in this pant (because they get thrown in the dryer) and medium in Shredly tops. If you are going to hang/air dry at my height and size, then an 8 should do it…with not much room to wiggle unless your bike fits you perfectly!!
Julianne S.
I have been looking for riding pants for years! These are the best pants! Super comfortable to ride in.
Sarah P.
The pants fit as expected according to the size guide. I like the flexible fabric on the high waist. I don’t have to pull these pants up constantly. Love the pockets, my phone fits easily. I have been wearing these pants often for casual days and outdoor activity since I got them. I am very likely to purchase a 2nd pair!
Jenny B.
These fit just like the yoga waistband shorts. If you are between sizes I'd actually go down rather than up, as the waist kind of slips down on mine since I sized up. I wish the knees were a little more articulated to make wearing kneepads under the pants (rather than over) easier. LOVE all the pockets, the length, the material is great for cool to mildly cold and would be super solid with a warm pair of leggings underneath for really cold. Overall glad I got them.
Heidi L.
I LOVE THESE PANTS! If I could critique anything, I will say the seams are a bit scratchy on the thighs but if you’re wearing a chamoi it is not an issue. The cut and style is on point. These are so cute and functional. Thank you Shredly for making female specific MTB gear!! If you’re on the fence, DO IT. These are well worth the price!
Carol K.
Love the cascade pants. I ordered the same size as my shorts (10) and they were a perfect fit. There is plenty of room to wear a liner underneath if I'm mountain biking. They could be a tad longer for my 5'9 self but otherwise I love them.
Lauren S.
I love all the Shredly products I've gotten so far and am so glad they came out with pants. I definitely wanted a pair of bike pants for the winter. These are great. I've worn knee pads under them without any issues. Worn extra layers for really cold days as well. Love the yoga band top. I don't think I'll ever buy a pair of bike shorts or pants again without the yoga top. As far as fit, I ordered the same size I would in shorts and they fit great. Definitely worth purchasing!
Denise S.
You ladies rock! I love these pants so much!
Natalie B.
These pants are perfect. I am five feet tall and I can actually wear these, it’s a dream. The waistband is perfect, no gap and so comfortable for long rides!
Angela L.
Darn it!! I really really wanted these to work! But they are not cut like the curvy short at all. Overall too tight and tapered in the thigh. I even ordered a size up so I could layer my winter tight/chamois and the size up barely fits. The knee darts are off on placement. Knowing Shredly they will find a way.
Jen K.
FINALLY! I’ve been waiting my whole life for these pants! I am 5’4” ; 115 lbs and I ordered a size 2. They fit over my chamois perfectly but I would not want them any more snug than they are. They have good stretch and are perfect for the unpredictable weather of the shoulder seasons!
