Naomi Allen was born and raised in southern Ontario on a cherry farm. Her childhood was spent barefoot, climbing trees, exploring, and developing a deep-rooted love of nature. Learning from her parents an appreciation for the land and its creatures.
Upon attending post-secondary school in the big city of Toronto, she met the love of her life. Together they moved north to the land of many lakes and endless trails, where they established a home for their two beautiful children.
Somewhere in the chaos of raising two wild children, he introduced her to his lifelong passion of mountain biking. However, the spark was officially ignited when a small but mighty ladies' mountain bike group formed in 2014. This group has since grown into a strong community of passionate cyclists of all ages and abilities. Gathering regularly for group rides, events, and excursions. Shortly after, the official North Bay Mountain Bike Association was formed. It is through this association that Naomi spends her free time volunteering with trail building, special events, and race nights, and now that she is PMBIA certified, teaching youth mountain bike lessons.
When she’s not on a bike, Naomi is out running with her teenage daughter, swimming with her son who is now a lifeguard at the YMCA, downhill or cross-country skiing, practicing yoga, hiking, and foraging for mushrooms and other wild edibles.
