I bought a pair of long curvy MTB shorts last year and they are perfect. I was so excited to think that I could get awesome shorts in a size larger than 14! So I bought another pair this year in a new pattern. Turns out they are different--not so much that I will return them, but it's clear that there are adjustments to the pattern. The new ones are longer, long enough that they get in the way when I am riding. They also seem cut more narrow in the hips and the fabric feels heavier and therefore warmer when riding. It's a bummer since larger women trying to buy clothes have such terrible choices. A year ago I wanted to think Shredly could be my go-to and now I will return but probably approach with caution, as disappointing as that is.
They were parachute pants. Fit me around the waist but way too long and legs far too wide at the knees.
I sold them at a huge loss.
I always had issues finding comfy pants for my MTBiking due to my curves and my thighs until a MTB girlfriend told me about Shredly pants for curvy girls. I wasn't sure if it will fit me right, but as soon as I tried it on, I was in love!!!! Oh I almost forgot to mention the fabric is so comfortable, and the prints are different and colorful...NOW, I WANT THEM ALL !!!!
My fav mtb shorts! I bought the original curvy* but found they were too short to accommodate my knee pads but the curvy longs are PERFECT. Not to mention I adore the sassy print (I got the Layla).
* I still love these shorts! I got them for chill riding while I was pregnant and they were awesome- they stretched with my belly but didn't get stretched out permanently so they fit great postpartum too! They're my "hiking with baby" shorts now...win-win!
I love having the curvy LONG! It is comfortable, flattering, and I want to wear them every day!
