SHIPPING

Do you ship to my country?

Yes! SHREDLY is located in the United States but we ship all over the world. (Please note everything on shredly.com is listed in US dollars.) If you do not see your country as an option in the checkout process please let us know and we’ll make sure you get your your goodies one way or another.

 

Please note that when tracking packages sent via the USPS, the ability to track through the USPS website may stop after the package has left the United States. At this time please visit your local post office website or physical office and use the same tracking number to continue to track your package. NOTE!!! There will be a lapse in tracking information available through the USPS and your local post office system and it can take 7-10 days before your country shows the package in their system. At this time please do not inquire with us regarding your package – it has not gone missing! Please allow two to three weeks for your package to be delivered after tracking shows it has arrived to your country. Allow this amount of time to pass before inquiring with us for a status update or to file a lost or missing claim. Delivery time after the package enters your country depends on how quickly customs processes your package and then how quickly your local post office delivers it (this usually hinges on your proximity to a large city).

When will my order ship?

I am buying from outside the United States, will I have to pay import duty and or tax?

Yes. When an item is purchased internationally it is subject to the regulations of the country where you are receiving the package. Customs officials will accordingly add the relevant clothing duties and taxes to the shipment based on the following factors:

* Product value (price)

* Shipping costs

* Trade agreements

* Use of the product

* The product’s harmonization system (HS) code (based on a standard global system)

Please note that you as the buyer are solely responsible for paying these duties and taxes (import tariffs) on top of the price and shipping costs of the products you purchase from SHREDLY. We do not collect or receive any portion of these duties or taxes and we do not having bearing over their implementation. This is a cost of doing business that, we too, are subject to when purchasing items from another country. Each country has different thresholds on the value of items that you must pay duty on and they vary from $20 to $1,000 so it’s important to know before you buy. RETURNS

What is your return policy?

We want you to be completely satisfied with your SHREDLY items, so if you aren’t send ’em back for a refund within 14 days of purchase. (NOTE: we extend our 14 day period to 30 days around the holidays to accommodate gift returns and exchanges!) To complete a return the following steps must be completed or it could delay or prevent a full price return:

1) Forward your Order Confirmation email to info@shredly.com with a note you are requesting a Return Authorization (within 24-48 hours you will receive an email with an RA number that you will write or adhere to the outside of your return package)
2) Complete this Return Form and include it with a copy of your Sales Order in the package
3) Return your items in their original packaging to the address indicated below
4) Make sure that all the tags are still attached
5) All items must be unused and in their original condition: clean, unworn, unwashed, with tags attached, and folded with care. Any items not returned in this conditioned will be denied a refund and returned back to you. If returned items meet these conditions but require any treatment to return them to their original, salable condition, a $10 restocking fee will be deducted from refund (wrinkled in a ball, covered with dog hair, smell of deodorants, lotions or perfumes and etc.)!

Once we receive the package and process the return we’ll issue a credit to the card you used to purchase that you’ll see within 5-10 business days. Please note that during our busy times it can take up to 3 weeks to process your return, thank you for your patience during these times!

We suggest you insure and include tracking on all returns! The recommended method for return is USPS Priority (they offer the most economical shipping rates starting at $4.95 and $50 of insurance and tracking is included).

What is your exchange policy? I love my shorts I just need a different size!

If you would like to exchange your purchase for another item, please click here to follow the return instructions for the items that you would like to send back. Then place a new order for the items you would like instead. Stock is constantly changing so if the item you would like is sold out you will know immediately and be able to pick another color quickly. Your new items will be shipped and on their way to you right away, no need to wait for the items you’re sending back to be received!

What if I need to exchange a gift or an order from Small Business Saturday?

Please follow the same process for returns or exchanges and place a new order for the item/s that you would like instead. When requesting your Return Authorization make sure to mention that you are returning or exchanging a gift. We will make sure to refund your new order for the item/s you are sending back opposed to the order placed by the person who gave you the gift or placed the order on Small Business Saturday. Please note that we are not able to credit back more than what the original order sub-total was before tax and shipping.

How long do refunds take to reach my account?

Please note that during our busy times it can take up to 3 weeks to process your return, thank you for your patience during these times! Once we process your return the refund is submitted to your bank immediately. You will then receive the funds in your account approximately 5–10 business days after the date on which the refund was initiated. (This is an aspect of how the banking system works.)

Note that refunds may appear in the form of a reversal. In the case of a reversal, the original payment will drop off of your bank statement, and a separate credit is not issued.

How do I initiate a warranty or a repair to SHREDLY?
Read this information in its entirety. Based on this information if you think your item will be covered under warranty and would like to initiate this request:

What is and isn’t covered under the Warranty Policy?
Defects in materials or workmanship are covered for the practical lifetime of the product. Material refers to zippers, snaps, Velcro, elastic and fabrics. Workmanship refers to seams and construction. Damage due to wear and tear such as rips, tears, abrasion or UV degradation, misuse or neglect is not covered under our warranty policy but may be repairable for a fee.

What does ‘practical Lifetime of the product’ mean?
We build our products to last over extended periods of use, but nothing lasts indefinitely. Fabrics will deteriorate and fade over time and moving parts will wear out. We will cover your product under our warranty policy until such a time that we have deemed the product to be worn out beyond reasonable repair. If the product is showing the signs of its age—for instance, the fabric has become thin or faded, there are rips and tears, the zippers no longer catch, or the cuffs are fraying—we will take this into consideration when assessing your product for a warranty request. All gear will suffer from differing degrees of wear-and-tear, depending upon the user. Product used by an outdoor guide for 150 days a year will by comparison, degrade faster than gear used by a weekend rider. By taking care of your product you will ensure a longer lifetime for your gear. We recommend that you follow the care instructions on the garment tags for how to wash and care for your SHREDLY. Use your judgment when assessing whether your product is likely to be covered under our warranty policy. It may simply be time to replace your product, and we hope that SHREDLY will have the opportunity to provide you with superior quality products and service in the future.

What happens if I rip or tear my shorts?
Bikes, rocks, trees, and other sharp equipment will damage clothing if they come into direct, unintended, contact with them. Rips, tears, burns and punctures can occur during normal use and are not covered under the terms of the warranty. To assist you in keeping your product in optimal working condition, we offer a variety of repairs for a reasonable charge. Contact us and we will be happy to discuss your options.

Our typical turn-around time is 15-20 business days in-house (from the time we receive your product to the time we ship it back to you). Keep in mind that summer is the busiest season for warranty and repair service and can delay the turn-around time.

I ripped my shorts, are they covered under warranty?

Shoot, rips are a bummer! Products damaged through external factors or objects are not covered under Warranty (our full Warranty Policy can be found here). But, the good news is that the material we use for our shorts won’t continue to unravel so your rip won’t grow and the other good news is that most rips can easily be repaired by you! Iron on patches are the best repair for rips plus they’re easy to use (literally as easy as positioning on the shorts and ironing in place), they come in different sizes and colors, and are very inexpensive. They can be found at most grocery stores, almost all sewing stores, or your common household supply store. So if you have a rip, don’t come unraveled, you have options! Follow these easy steps using an iron on patch for repair or check out the below information regarding our repair services offered for a nominal charge.

Iron On Patch Repair:
1) Wash the shorts and make sure the area around the rip is clean and free of dirt or blood
2) Trim the ripped area to minimize the presence of loose threads and frayed pieces of fabric so that the rip can be “put back together cleanly”. Do not cut the fabric, just trim all the loose ends
3) Use an ironing board to lay the shorts, right side out (with the pattern side facing you), perfectly flat
4) Place the iron on patch on the INSIDE of the fabric (the white side, not the pattern side) with the adhesive coating facing the inside of your shorts centered under the rip (it is best to use a size that is only slightly bigger than your rip)
5) Neatly put the rip or tear back together as if you are putting a torn piece of paper back together, matching up all the edges and corners as best as possible
6) Follow the instructions on the package of the patch (heat setting, length of time ironing patch to fabric)
7) Trim any remaining loose ends
