Limitless - Stretch Waistband High-Rise Pant : Mara - SHREDLY
Details
We took our best-selling, most versatile short style and made it into pants! Mountain biking doesn’t stop when the cool temps or weather rolls in and now you don’t have to either. We made these for days when you need a little bit more coverage but still want the same great performance. But, per our usual approach, these pants were designed to wear beyond mountain biking and were engineered for life outside or on the go.
Features
- Made with ecoMove: lightweight yet durable, 4-way stretch, quick-dry fabric made from recycled polyester/spandex
- Jogger-style pant made for mountain biking and an active lifestyle with a relaxed yet flattering “comfort” fit
- Yoga-style stretch waistband + drawcord eliminates “back-gap”
- An articulated back panel creates technical shaping through hips and thighs
- Articulation in the knees to accommodate pedaling and low-profile knee pads
- Gusseted inseam for ease of movement and extra comfort
- Two hand pockets with deep, mesh pocket bags
- Zippered pockets at the hip and side leg for secure and easy access to essentials (yes, they fit your phone)
- 28-inch inseam on size 6

Great biking/hiking pant.

I bought the Limitless pants in black a couple years ago for winter riding and loved them so much I bought the Mara to have another color. All the Shredly products are so durable. I have yet to wear anything out and I have shorts that are 10 years old. If you have doubts about the price, remember you are paying for the quality while still having a cool style. I highly recommend Shredly and it’s great to support a women owned business.

Quality product. Finding the right size was a bit difficult had to order three different sizes. Return process was easy though

I purchased these pants last fall, primarily for mountain biking, but I have used them for cross country skiing, snowshoeing, going to the gym, yoga, and hiking. They are super comfortable and fit very well. I love them so much a purchase a second pair!

How have I not had mtb pants before?! This is my new favorite piece of gear. I think I have worn them on every ride in the last two weeks. Comfortable and just the right weight to keep you warm but not hot, even on a 65 degree day. I ride a lot in Tucson where every bush is out to get you. Having your legs covered vs. scraped up is so nice, I really don't know why I waited so long. Get them!
Lori M.
I love these pants!! I have the Curvy MTB shorts that are similar to these, and I will never wear anything other than Shredly bottoms again! I wear the cascade pants during the winter, about 3-5 times a week. There are no signs of breakdown, and the breathability is second to none. The Yoga waist is my very favourite part. I highly recommend these pants. I am 5’3” and 175lbs. I wear a size 14 in the Cascade Pants. I could easily go down to a 12, but I like them roomy for layering.
Irene H.
I want to express my frustrations with 90+% of reviews- if I’m looking to buy clothing- esp pants- online, I don’t care that they’re pretty. I want to know your height, weight, and size of pants that you purchased. If you don’t provide those details your review is a waste. Bonus points for providing basic measurements. This way I can actually figure out what size I want to order.
I got a different color, but fit is what’s most important to me, so I’m leaving the review here too.
I’m 5’4” and ~130lb. My waist is 30” and my hips are 39”. I purchased the size 8 because I could only find one or two reviews that gave me the slightest idea about what size I should select. Despite not having too big an a$$, my thighs are pretty damn huge compared to what America thinks women’s thighs should be. In that regard, these pants don’t disappoint- very roomy :) I love these, but they are a little too big, and I think the size 6 probably would have fit better. The crotch sags, so I need to make sure they’re hiked up pretty far if I bike with them. Meanwhile the waist isn’t very snug so I mainly just fold it over to take up some of the crotch sag, which works fine. First thing that came out of a friends mouth when she saw them was, “maternity pants”. Haha. So true- the waist band is exactly like that!
The length is fine, and the ankle elastic is pretty tight, as some reviewers have mentioned. It doesn’t really bother me much. I’ve got insanely thin ankles tho, so if you’ve got cankles it might be pretty restricting. I’ve got enough room in these pants to wear a base layer underneath or wear my mid-size knee pads. The fabric is fun and comfortable enough. It’s water repellent, which is nice.
The thing that’s unfortunate is that these just seem like bad production quality, I’m sad to say. It doesn’t change my mind on having purchased them, but there’s threads and seams that are already broken and coming loose in multiple locations and I haven’t actually worn them mtn biking yet. It’s probably what you get for being made in Mexico and “cheap” ?! At only$120.
Mercedes B.
We bought these as a gift for my sister-in-law. She loves them. They have been great for riding in spring and fall here in Utah. For reference she is about 5'8 and 135 lbs and we got her a size 6.
The Rev. Ashley H.
These are so comfortable! I wear them to workout in, to lie around the house, and sometimes even at work.
Joshua D.
I decided to return these because the waistband was too tight. I did keep an orange pair which was the same size, but had a much more comfortable waistband. I’m bummed these didn’t work for me because the purple color is lovely!
Tracey G.
I love these pants. Being Canadian I found these pants to be a little on the expensive side but I love the fit, the way they feel on, and the way they look so I am happy to spend a bit more. They are now my go-to pants when riding in cooler weather.
Marg R.
Fit well, comfy.
Erica Z.
I’m 5’7” 165lbs and post having a kiddo- these pants fit amazing!! The wide waste band is amazing for a curvy figure and the pants are durable with great stretch and give. 10/10 do recommend!
Lisa A.
Just a personal thing I didn’t like how it was snug around my ankle it made me feel claustrophobic
Ann E.
The quality of this apparel is wonderful!! These pants will be perfect come fall/winter/spring riding days!!
Emily M.
I really wanted to like these pants. They're very cute and the fit is comfortable, BUT the lining on the fabric inside is horrible. They're weirdly irritating and I just couldn't handle it. I tried them on three different times to see if anything had changed and I couldn't keep them on longer than a few minutes. They also felt like they would be sweltering for any biking temps outside of winter. Would definitely purchase in the future if the fabric changed though.
Josiane C.
Fitting well!
Jessica L.
Amazing for down hill!
Mackenzie F.
I absolutely LOVE these pants. They fit perfectly, I'm 5'2" and have an impossible time finding pants that are not too long while also able to fit over my hips. The elastic waste makes them incredibly comfortable when bent at the waist while riding. They breath, have pockets. I love them so much I ordered a second pair!
Tori E.
Just wow. It is rare that you order something online and it arrives and it is everything and more. Literally every person I encountered the first few rides commented on how awesome the pants looked. As the one wearing them, I can confirm, that they are not only super well designed, but very comfortable. The cell phone pocket is amazing. I love the other zipper pockets as well. The waistband is a dream. The jogger style ankle is genius and stylish. The material is breathable and quick drying. High praise Shredly, high praise.
Brett S.
Great pants; however, there were several loose threads dangling and unraveling upon arrival. Kinda disappointing for the price. The ankle elastic seems pretty tight...even on my skinny ankles. Would love to see them in longer lengths!
Gary Allen C.
I LOVE THESE PANTS!!! They fit perfectly and the deep pockets are awesome. I would recommend these pants to everyone.
Robin F.
fits great, feels described well
Amanda C.
Great pants. Comfortable, flexible, and durable. I'm 5'10" and about 170# so they are a little short on me but that's ok when riding. I got a size 12 even though I wear a 10 in Shredly curvy shorts since other reviews said the pants seem to be sized a little differently than the shorts. The 12s seem to fit well with a little room to move in them.
Andi Z.
I love these pants! I love the fit, and the yoga waistband is super comfortable. They are obviously great for riding but I find myself wearing them everywhere.
Kimberly M.
Wore these pants four days in a row on a MTB trip. Loved them so much that I bought a second pair when I got home. I’ve also found that they work great for rocking climbing. 5’8” 170lbs. Got a size 12 for my first pair and they fit good, but seemed a tad roomy. Downsized to a 10 for my second pair and they fit even better!
Arletta D.
I love these so fully, I wish I had more of them. Great color, great fit, excellent pockets and security. I love them
sia t.
These are becoming a Go-To favorite for riding, hiking, & overall adventuring
I cannot believe how comfortable and versatile they are.
Waistband- Uber comfy!!
pockets-roomy & secure
fit - I feel they’re very flattering on me
& the ankle elastic make these sporty fun pants.
Very happy with my pants!!
Ashley O.
Very pleasantly surprised! Shredly has always been hit or miss for me and I was very unsure buying these. I’ve never been a fan of yoga topped pants either but I wanted riding pants that weren’t the standard boring black. So I gave these a shot and I’m super glad I did! I bought a size 8 after seeing others photos. I’m 5’3” 140lbs 36” bust 32” waist and 40”hips and these fit perfect, I can even wear long thermal liners underneath for winter riding. The 28” inseam is perfect for my height. Home run shredly!
Steven O.
I got these for my wife for Christmas. She absolutely loves them! Great fit!
Hillary I.
These pants are perfect. Fitted without being tight, stretchy but not in a weird lycra way, and I wish the yoga band were on all my pants. Buy them.
Gee
I’m in love! The fit is perfect, the style is super flattering, and the pockets are what dreams are made of. I would love to see these in more colors like Amelia and Denim!
I’m 5’4, 140lbs, average build and ordered a size 6. They fit close, but not tight. By the size chart I should wear an 8, but I have a pair of the old Shortie style MTB shorts size 6 with the waist cinched, so I decided to stick with the same size for these. If you want to wear anything under them, I’d go by the size chart, but I’m glad I ordered my normal size as I wouldn’t want the waist band any looser.
Kamala S.
I love the fit, style and color. However, there are some comfort issues. I am a very petite person, but the elastic at the ankles was so tight that I had difficulty getting them on and off. Additionally, the stitching on the inside of the pants, especially the darts around the knees, are rough and chafe when moving.
Jacob T.
I really like the fit of these. Some people mentioned that the thigh area felt too tight but I didn't find this to be the case for me.
I am just shy of 5' 2" and weigh about 120 lbs and I ordered a size 4. I also have fairly wide hips and sometimes find that the butt/thigh region of pants can be tight. But these feel really good and don't feel tight or restrict mobility at all.
Molly N.
I ordered the same size as the curvy shorts I wear and the pants were too small overall. I went up a size and I feel they are perfect. I have only worn them on one ride (temp about 45 degrees) and they were perfect, neither too hot or too cold.
Andrea Y.
Great fit! Comfortable riding pants!
Laura J.
Best pants ever. Super comfy, non-binding. Amazing!
Andrea S.
Pants are very comfortable and stretchy. Yoga waistband is comfortable and the pants don't fall down while riding. I just wish they were a tad longer for my legs in cooler temps (I'm 5'10")
Emily M.
I bought them for my daughter. She loves them so much she is wearing them as normal pants! They fit her perfectly!
Karen K.
Here’s what I love: lightweight, ample pockets, comfortable waistband, they seem durable (I’ve only wore them once so far). I’m 5’6”, weigh 125-128lbs, I normally wear a size 6 in all pants. According to the shredly size chart I’m probably closer to a size 4 but I was worried about them being too snug so I ordered a size 6. The 6 is a little too big but they don’t fall off while standing around or get caught on the seat while biking so I’m going to keep them. I think the fabric has that weird feel that some athletic clothes have. If I had felt the fabric in a store I probably wouldn’t have even looked at them further because it’s a fabric I typically don’t like. But all the other great features of the pants far outweigh the cringy fabric.
Louisa D.
Love these pants! I've been looking for biking pants for a while, but in my experience the butt and hips are too tight and the waist gaps and is too low rise. These worked great for me. I sized up to a 12 (I am a 10 in the curvy MTB short - 5'8, 170). If I had gone with my usual size, they definitely would have been too tight in the thighs.
Stacia L.
Color was awesome. Features were so-so but not worth the price tag. Limited options for wear with the pants being thinner material. I’d have to wear leggings under for wear in the winter even warmer temps so they aren’t realistic for snow. Ankle is much too tight. Run small. I’d size up two sizes. Returned them.
Joy G.
These pants are fantastic, especially for cold weather riding. I think the biggest compliment I can give them is that I don't think about them once they're on. They're not too hot, too cool, too tight, etc. They just work, they do a great job. The colors are nice and the size is pretty true. I am usually between a 6 and an 8 depending on the cut - and the 6 works well. Thanks Shredly!
Kate F.
Great look and fit. Easy to ride in. Fabric is thinner than anticipated and they are not super warm
Babe J.
love these pants. they run smaller than other items I have in this brand.
Dena D.
When I first received the pants I was not sure about them due to the texture on the inside felt a bit grippy like microfiber which I did not like. However, the fit was so good I decided to keep them and wash them. Once washed the inside texture softened up and didn't have that grippy microfiber feel any longer. I love them and want more pairs!
Juliann H.
Love them! Super comfortable, looks great and zipper pockets are large enough for my phone.
Only wish list is that the cuff had a zipper to go over boots for winter riding in the northeast.
Annie
Really like the fabric and fit but please please please make a longer length for taller ladies! I'm a huge fan of the mtb long shorts.
Dawn L.
I really wanted these pants to work! I love the MTB Curvy Short. The opening around the ankle is gathered & rather tight (my feet are size 8.5). The pants are tight through the thighs and I would not agree that they have a "relaxed fit" as described. I ordered my usual size and need to return as I don't think I could comfortably wear my chamois underneath. I was hoping the fabric would be similar to the MTB Curvy Short with some stretch. This fabric has little stretch IMO.
Cristina H.
I really wanted to love these pants, but they are definitely sized smaller than the shorts. I ordered a size up (ordered a 12, 165lbs, 5'4") and am so glad that I did. They are snug in the thighs without a lot of movement allowed. I was hoping to be able to wear some long underwear with them in the winter, but that's not going to work out. I wish the sizing would have been more consistent.
Andrea W.
I love this pant. I love the color. I love the waistband. I love the length. Unfortunately (insert sad face) I had to return them because I feel they're just too snug in the thighs for full range of movement when I ride - I feel them pull tight across my thigh when I sit or bend my knee. I'm 5'10", 230# with thick legs, and wear a size 18. I am a bit heartbroken because I genuinely love the fit otherwise.
Connie H.
What rhymes with "Smitten"? The Cascade Pant! I tore open my mail, and felt the dreaded sense of guilt of not wanting to get these beauties dirty or wet. It was not snowing when we jumped on our bikes to test ride them, but the snow came down fast and furious. The flakes rolled off, and I didn't get wet. I even wore my shin/knee pads over them as I would likely have perished if my pedals tore a hole in them with their sharp piton thingies. The bottom half of the pant is looser to enable wearing of said protection underneath. Pfft, rules. This Canadian highly recommends these pants. I have worn them biking, hiking, wore them to work, and cannot wait to wear them camping next spring. My next pair, I will size up so I can wear long underwear underneath. Mine fit great with a chamois, and I was able to bike comfortably and never felt confined, but a full warm layer underneath might be pushing it. More colours, please! Or even a little reflective strip on them, ooooh, a Shredly logo in the reflective silver would be perfect for those who have to bike from their bike shed to the trail head on the road when it is dark almost all the ding dong time now!

Only wish list is that the cuff had a zipper to go over boots for winter riding in the northeast.

Really like the fabric and fit but please please please make a longer length for taller ladies! I'm a huge fan of the mtb long shorts.
